Why do people write poetry?

My opinion of why people write poetry and song is because they presst their feeling. Probably they will have something to say but they don't want to tell to someone so writing a song or writing a poetry will get them out of their heads. I like writing poetry because when I have something in my head that I don't want to talk to nobody I will write what I feel. People also write poetry and songs because they want their feeling to be heard by people. People would be famous by their song our poetry. There are different type of poetry. My favorite one are romantic and friendship. Some time in my spare time I will write poetry about my life.
