Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving day me and my mom made posole. For desert I made brownies. My little sister was helping me making the brownies. It was really fun making posole and brownies with my mom and sister. At noon my uncle came over to my house. He brought mole. Then my aunt came too. She brought tamales. All I ated was tamale. They were delicious. One of my cousin brought movies to watch. I couldn't watch the movies with her because I was getting my daughter ready to go to Antonio's house. She kind of got mad because we had a long time that we don't spend time together. Like at 7 Antonio came and pick us up. His mom made virria. I didn't want to eat because I had already eaten at my house. So I just ate little bit. When we finished eating we were watching a movie. Daisy was getting fussy so I told Antonio to take me home already. when I got home my family was still there. I was in the dinning room for little bit then I went to my room. I was really tired so I made Daisy a bottle to she can go to sleep. When she fell asleep I was getting ready to go to bed. It was a really tired night.

*What Iam Thanksful For*

What I am thankful for is my daughter. I will give my life for her.Tony for supporing our daughter and me and working really hard at nights. I am proud of him for coming to school too. I thank my dad alot because he is working really hard at the field getting wet to support the family. I also thank my mom for being there when I give birth to Daisy. My grandpa and grandma I love them alot because they being good person in my life. I also thank my best friend for being my best friend since elementary school. We count on each other. My godmother being a really nice person with my family since I was born. I am also thankful for having a nice home. I feel save being at home. Another thing I am thankful for is for having food on the table 3 times a day.

*Thanks Giving Vacation*

My plans for the week of Thanks Giving is to spend lots of time with my daughter Daisy and Tony. We will probably be watching movies. Before Thanks Giving I am going to the grocery store with my mom to buy ingredients to make tamales. I also plant to bake a cake. Family will come over to the house to spend time together. They will also bring something to eat and share it with the family. I will be at my house and my family for little bit. Then I will go to Tony house to spend time with his family. I will be taking some tamales over to his house. Black Friday I am going to wake up at 4 in the morning and go to the Woodburn Mall to shop for clothes and present for Daisy and me. My mom will take care of Daisy. I am hoping it will be a great weekend for me.

Junior and Rowdy

Rowdy hates his life because his parents don't care about him. His parents drink alot. When his dad get angry cause of anything he will hit Rowdy. At school they respect him because he will beat up who ever gets in his away even thought they haven't done anything to him. The only person he had respect for was Junior because he was the only person he talked to about his problems. Also they know each other since their were babies. About Junior his is a kind person even thought they don't like him. He only had one best friend. It was Rowdy, but he bet him up because he was moving to a white school. Junior is also a smart kid. Nobody in his reservation has hope so he is going to a different school to have hope. He doesn't care if he has to walk many miles to get to school.

The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part Time Indian

I think that the author choose the name for the book because he wants to let other people know his life. Also that he when threw so many things when he was young. Another thing it could be because rich people and poor people didn't live together. Indians lived in reservation and rich people in fancy houses. I also thing he choose the title because he was born being Indian but then he became to be more with the white people. Because it says PART TIME INDIAN so I guss he finds a new home of white people. The last thing it could be because he wants to let others know how different Indians are, and the things they do, and the place where they live.

"My Life Without Technology"

My life without technology now it would be boring. With cell phones you can take it where ever you go with you. If you go for a long trip you can take it and be on the Internet and be texting with friends and family. Having a cell phone nobody would get bored when they go for a long trip. That's good that they invented Ipods because you can listen to music and have pictures and videos. What I like about Ipods is that you can have your favorite songs. Every night that I am not sleepy I would listen to my Ipod and I would fall asleep right away. My life with out Internet and a laptop would be so boring because that's what I like to do in my spare time be on the Internet. What I like to do is emails my friends and family, receive pictures from family from Mexico, and also I like to order stuff from the Internet.

Book Impression

My impressions are that is not a really nice place to live. I think people are weird because they don't have hope. By not having hope they probably don't care about there reservation. I also think that white people treat the Indians bad because white people don't like Indians.

If I would lived there I would be bored all day. I would try to get in school sports and practice every day with the team so like that we can get better at it. So white people won't think that we are losers. For me not to be bored I would go to others places where white people live so they won't think that only white people could be there. I would not like to live in a reservation.

Mexico

When I moved from Mexico it was really hard for me. I was 6 years old when we moved from Mexico and my brother was 11 years old. When my parents told me and my brother that we were going to move to the United States I was excited but my brother was crying. When I saw him cry that's when I cried too. He was saying that he didn't want to leave because we were going to see our family and friends. That's when I said that I didn't want to move either. My parents were telling us that we were going to be with other family that we have there. They also told us that they were going to buy us what ever we want. That's when my brother and I calmed down. When it was time to pack everything up my brother and I started crying again because we couldn't take all of our stuff with us. December 1,1999 morning: that was the day we left in the morning. Family was with us when we left. My brother and I started crying because we weren't going to see our cousins and friends anymore. When we got in the bus family was waving at us. It was the saddest day ever in my life. I miss my family, friends and our animals. I wish I could go and visit someday.

Main Character Junior

Junior is Indian.He grow up on the Spokane Indian reservation. He is 14 years old. He was born with mental problems. His family is poor. His family doesn't really cares about him. Junior had a dog named Oscar but he died. His mom didn't want to pay to take Oscar to the vet. Rowdy is his best friend. Rowdy always protects him from people that wants to hurt him. Rowdy cut his long hair. Junior has a sister named Mary. He says that she is weird because after high school she didn't go to college or do anything. She will be the whole day in the basement. Junior and Rowdy are planning to play high school basketball. His geometry teacher Mr. P always forget to go to school. Sometimes he will go to school in his pajamas.

My Life

My name is Rosa Lemus. I am 17 years old. I was born in Sinaloa Mexico. I came to live in United States in 2000. We came to live here because the economy is really bad. I miss Mexico alot because I have part of my family over there. I like living here but I miss Mexico. In Mexico there many things to do. Also because the weather is really nice and hot. That's how I like it. My favorite things to do when I was in Mexico was going to the beach, zoo, fishing, carnivals, and festivals. Hopefully later on the future I will get a good job and save some money to go to Mexico and visit my family.

Here in Oregon there's not alot to do because it is really cold. Only during the summer but is just like 2 months of hot weather. During the summer we will go to the beach but it would be really cold to get in the water. My favorite things to do here is the fair, friends parties, and going to the movies. I also have part of my family here to but we don't really get along with them. I like school here because you don't have to pay to go to school. I think here in the United States I have a future because I want to get my GED so I can go to beauty school. Then later when I have saved money I will go to Disney land with my daughter and Antonio.

The last thing you should know about me is the I have a daughter with Antonio. She was born June 16, 2009. Her name is Daisy Fajardo Lemus. She was born at Salem Hospital at 8:52, weigh 6 pound and 3 oz. When the midwife put Daisy on my chest it was the best day ever in my life. My mom and Antonio were their when I gave birth to Daisy. When Antonio saw Daisy on my chest his tears came out. My mom was proud of me because I had done a really good job even the nurses too. I am glad everything came out good. I am a proud mommy!!

Before we were Free

The book that I am reading is call Before we Were Free. Is about a family in Republic Dominican that's been leaving there whole life's their. Tursillo is the president, he is a mean person because he send people to kill people. If somebody disobeys him he will send somebody to kill them. Anita is a teen girl that is really scared because they have kill part of her family. Her dad is with the SIM to kill other people. The dad is against to be killing people because they have kill part of his family. He is trying to end the murdering because he doesn't want to loose his daughter and his wife. Anita and her mom are hidden from the SIM. They are hidden at an aunt's closet. They have to be really quiet so nobody would heard them because if they heard they will kill them all. They just want to be free and be with their families. The chapter that I am at is going to be about trying to scape from the SIM.

What I like about is the is sad and scary story. Also because they won't give up. Their trying their best not to get caught by the SIM. What I don't like about is that their a few words that I don't understand.
